Power distribution unit for novel air vehicle
Our client required a custom PCB unit to process sensor inputs and distribute power to critical systems on a novel air vehicle.
The project included conceptual system design of the PCB. The hardware development was based on an FPGA architecture and developed as a safety critical part.
Implementation of control algorithms and validation software were also required to prove performance.
In a very small amount of time, we delivered a fully functional prototype system which allowed the client to complete a successful test flight.
Since we developed this device, the client has successfully flown the air vehicle on multiple occasions. They are continuing efforts to commercialise their design.
