The 42T Team has taken up the challenge to Move for Movember this month to raise funds for men’s health
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale. They are focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, as well as cancers that affect men.
This year we have a team who’ve committed to each moving 60km over the month of November. For the whole team that equates to 660km – the equivalent distance from our office in St. Ives (Cambridgeshire) to Dundee in Scotland! And we’re hoping to raise more than last year’s Movember funds totalling £1,235.
Activities are likely to be varied from walking, running and cycling to working out and playing various racket sports.

Jon Spratley, CEO of 42T, says: “I’m excited to be part of the 42T Move for Movember Team to raise money for a great cause. We’re quite an active and competitive bunch at 42T – and don’t need much encouragement to increase our activity levels and compete against each other! Promoting wellbeing and healthcare issues is also a big part of what we do.”
Since the first moustaches were grown in 2003, Movember has raised over AUD $1 billion for men’s health, funding more than 1,250 innovative programs ranging from ground breaking clinical tests and trials to game-changing mental health studies and programs.
Eleven of our team signed up for this year's Movember charity fundraiser, helping to raise funds and awareness for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives either by growing a moustache or moving 60km in the month.
Activities: Moustache growing, walking, running, swimming, working out, squash, table tennis and badminton.
Results: 4 impressive moustaches, 434 km travelled, and £1,443 raised!
Well done team 42T!
