Reimagining functional packaging to create a premium product experience
Having carried out in-depth consumer research and a review of their brand identity, our client wanted to create a premium version of an existing product that better delivered against end user needs.
In addition to the functional product requirements, our client also wanted any new product to be manufacturable on existing legacy assets with little or no modification to those assets in order to avoid significant further capex or re-approval costs.
Having visited the manufacturing site to properly understand constraints and implications of line change, we created a range of new package concepts that both delivered on the end user needs and fitted within the manufacturing constraints, of which 3 were selected for further development.
Samples of the 3 distinctive designs were then manufactured for use in consumer trials.
